Gemsnatcher is a dice game popular in the southern reaches of the continent and primarily popularized by nobles from the jungle city of Cauldron. To play Gemsnatcher requires 6 dice: one four-sided die, one six-sided die, one eight-sided die, one ten-sided die, one twelve-sided die, and one twenty-sided die. The game is played casually and usually as a distraction while nobles make conversation. Everyone starts out by rolling the four-sided dice (at the same time). Any player whose die comes up with a “4” rolls a six-sided die on the next round, while the rest roll their four-sided dice again. If the die comes up a six, the player moves up to the eight-sided die the next round, and so on until someone rolls a “20” on their twenty-sided die. Players place their wagers at the beginning of the game, a standard ante determined by the consent of all players.
